Shift Type: Days to be determined by facility, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Evening / Day shift)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report concerns to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Support mealtime and nutrition needs while respecting resident preferences and dietary orders
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team and families
- Follow infection control policies, safety protocols and facility procedures to protect residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid for Maine or eligible for immediate reciprocity
- Ability to pass required background checks, drug screen and health screenings per facility policy
- Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a collaborative team
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care skills and familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
- Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
- Team-oriented approach with clear communication and time-management skills
