Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report concerns to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Support mealtime and nutrition needs while respecting resident preferences and dietary orders
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and communicate effectively with the care team and families
• Follow infection control policies, safety protocols and facility procedures to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid for Maine or eligible for immediate reciprocity
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screen and health screenings per facility policy
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and working as part of a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care skills and familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Team-oriented approach with clear communication and time-management skills
