Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the facility
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform timely and thorough patient assessments and report changes
• Document resident care clearly and professionally in the medical record
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
• Advocate for resident needs and ensure a safe, respectful environment

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in New Mexico (or Compact/reciprocal license where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Valid immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) — required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Comfortable with wound care, dressing changes, and basic procedures
• Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
• Good time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
