Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Assess and monitor patient status; communicate changes to the care team
- Complete thorough documentation in the medical record and follow care plans
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
- Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (preferred or obtained upon hire)
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Comfortable working in long (about 12.5-hour) day shifts
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- Active state LPN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Patient assessment and recognition of clinical changes
- Wound care basics and dressing changes
- Electronic health record documentation
- Time management for long shift workflows
- Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
