Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care for patients during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the electronic chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe patient care and transitions
• Educate patients and families with clear, supportive teaching tailored to their needs
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting teammates and upholding standards

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (state of practice or compact license as applicable)
• Prior acute care nursing experience; travel RN experience is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled at patient assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making
• Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize during busy overnight shifts
• Team-oriented with strong communication and patient education abilities
