Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, weight and other routine observations accurately
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Communicate resident changes promptly to nursing staff and document in the chart
• Maintain a clean, respectful environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Comfortable with resident transfers and basic patient care tasks

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and observation reporting
• Customer-service approach to resident interactions
