Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform timely resident assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to coordinate care plans
- Deliver clear, respectful education to residents and families about care needs
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in good standing (New Hampshire license or compact eligibility as applicable)
- CPR/BLS certification (current) required or obtained upon hire
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Willingness to work night shift and provide weekend coverage as required
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
Education
- Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and safe medication administration
- Familiarity with wound care, ADLs assistance, and basic nursing procedures
- Accurate charting and comfort with electronic health record documentation
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in urgent situations
- Friendly bedside manner and strong resident-centered care approach
