Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with facility policies
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient status and interventions in the electronic health record in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
• Respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment and timely escalation

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligibility for state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred; confident caring for adult patient populations
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Current immunizations as required by facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Patient and family education skills with a focus on safety and recovery
