Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with facility policies
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient status and interventions in the electronic health record in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
- Respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment and timely escalation
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligibility for state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
- Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred; confident caring for adult patient populations
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
- Current immunizations as required by facility policy
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
- Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and charting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Patient and family education skills with a focus on safety and recovery
