Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report clinical changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and positioning with proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care thoroughly and communicate clearly with the care team and families
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive, resident-centered culture
Qualifications
- Active CNA or T-CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant or T-CNA)
- Eligible to work in Maine and available for the assignment dates (Dec 8, 2025 – Mar 2, 2026)
- Comfortable working a day shift schedule (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain per facility policy
- Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident care skills and compassion for older adults
- Competence with ADLs, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Clear verbal and written communication for effective team handoffs
- Attention to detail for documentation and infection control practices
- Team player mentality and dependable work ethic
