Shift Type: 5 days/week, 32 hours/week (schedule to be coordinated with Rehab Director; specific start/end times to be determined)

Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the registered Physical Therapist in carrying out therapeutic procedures and individualized care plans
- Perform routine treatment procedures and document patient responses accurately and promptly
- Observe and report patient conditions, reactions, and progress to your supervising PT
- Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Aides during treatments as appropriate
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and equipment for patient safety
- Communicate with physicians (in consultation with the supervising PT) about patient progress and treatment needs
- Participate in facility educational activities to support continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved and accredited physical therapist assistant program
- Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
- Licensed by the State of Utah in the designated therapy profession
- Ability to safely lift, turn, move, and transport patients — must be able to lift/control 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to perform minimal assist transfers and safe patient handling
- Comfort working under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist and following facility/Medicare/private insurance policies
Education
- Graduation from an approved and accredited therapist program (Physical Therapist Assistant)
Knowledge & Skills
- Therapeutic intervention techniques and treatment procedures
- Safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Clear, timely clinical documentation and charting
- Strong patient communication and education skills
- Ability to direct and mentor Physical Therapy Aides
- Familiarity with rehab workflows, compliance, and quality care standards
