Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners and perform high-quality imaging for ED and inpatient needs
- Staff assigned scanners and control room stations during weekend night shifts
- Provide stand-alone ED coverage when assigned and assist ED techs as needed
- Support safe patient handling and assist with lifting when necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and ED staff to prioritize urgent studies quickly
- Maintain equipment operation and follow safety and infection control protocols
- Document procedures accurately and communicate findings and concerns clearly
Qualifications
- ARRT with CT endorsement required
- Comfortable working overnight 12.5-hour shifts Friday through Sunday
- Experience operating CT scanners and working in a busy ED environment
- Ability to assist with patient lifting and safe transfer techniques
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
- State radiologic technologist license if required by local regulations (please have or be willing to obtain)
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- ARRT certification with CT endorsement (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven CT scanner and control room operation skills
- Familiarity with ED workflows and rapid triage imaging
- Patient positioning and radiation safety best practices
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-acuity environment
- Compassionate patient care and strong interpersonal skills
