Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, direct patient care during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient status changes, and interventions
- Coordinate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
- Assist with admissions, transfers and safe patient discharges as needed
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record
- Support patient comfort, safety and dignity throughout the shift
- Respond quickly and professionally to urgent situations and call-offs
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — state licensure required
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — current upon start
- Previous long-term care or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work independently overnight and collaborate with team members
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Education
- LPN: Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent
- RN candidates: ADN or BSN (if applying as RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and infection control practices
- Experience with patient assessments and basic wound care
- Comfortable with electronic charting and accurate documentation
- Excellent time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
- Professional bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
