Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each shift
• Assess and monitor patient status, recognizing changes and escalating as needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient care and clinical observations in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and follow individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred
• Travel RN experience preferred but new travel nurses with strong acute care skills are welcome
• Ability to work three 12+ hour day shifts per week, including strong time and priority management
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Experience with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with EMR documentation and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Team-focused approach and effective communication with patients and staff
