Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on personal care to residents with respect and dignity
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Take and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and mobility, following care plans and proper techniques
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly with residents, families and the care team to promote continuity of care
- Document care accurately and promptly in facility records
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the state of practice
- Previous CNA experience preferred but new CNAs with strong bedside skills are welcome
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Reliable, professional, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and activities of daily living
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
- Mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
