Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the unit by coordinating staffing, patient flow, and daily operations to ensure high-quality care
• Oversee clinical practice and mentor nursing staff to foster professional growth and strong teamwork
• Manage unit schedules, assignments, and resource allocation to maintain smooth operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, facility policies, and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to drive patient-centered outcomes
• Handle escalations and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible
• Proven experience as a Unit Manager, RN Unit Manager, or similar leadership role
• Current BLS required; ACLS or other certifications preferred depending on unit needs
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Comfortable with staffing coordination, budget awareness, and basic operational management
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks for travel assignment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical leadership and unit management best practices
• Patient care coordination and acuity assessment
• Staff scheduling, performance coaching, and team development
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation and compliance
• Regulatory knowledge (CMS, Joint Commission) and quality improvement
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
