Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care consistent with facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely within scope of practice
• Perform routine assessments and monitor vital signs to detect changes in condition
• Document care thoroughly and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with wound care, ADLs, and mobility support to maintain resident dignity
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to implement care plans
• Respond effectively to resident concerns and clinical changes in a timely manner
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Alabama required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working a rotating 12-hour schedule (3 on/2 off then 2 on/3 off)
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Resident assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Basic wound care and ADL assistance
• Electronic medical record charting and timely documentation
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
