Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a busy day-shift schedule
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
- Perform thorough patient assessments and maintain timely, precise documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families to support recovery, discharge planning, and long-term health
- Respond to changes in patient condition with sound clinical judgment and calm leadership
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (state-specific or compact where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus when applicable
- Comfortable with 12+ hour day shifts and working a Monday-Wednesday schedule
- Clinical experience in medical-surgical, rehab, or related care settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate or ADN/BSN for RNs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and patient assessment
- Proficient with electronic health record documentation and charting
- Solid knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and care standards
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Time management and prioritization for multiple patients on extended shifts
