Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and follow care plans
- Assist with meal service and feeding support as needed
- Promote a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active LNA / Licensed Nursing Assistant certification (VT or NH eligibility preferred)
- Proven experience providing resident care in a long-term care or similar setting preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to and from shift
- Ability to work an every-other-weekend commitment
- All requested time-off (RTO) must be approved prior to accepting assignment
Education
- Completion of an approved LNA training program and active LNA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ADLs, infection control, and basic resident care
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and reporting changes
- Good communication skills with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Basic charting/documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
