Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policies
- Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and interventions
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate residents and families about care, medications, and follow-up needs
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
- Adhere to infection control standards and facility protocols to protect patients
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required or able to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum clinical experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts on the scheduled days and reliably cover assigned shifts
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Skilled in resident assessment, wound care basics, and monitoring changes in condition
- Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
- Good time management and prioritization for busy shift workloads
- Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to communicate clearly with residents and families
