Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to residents in the rehab setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Document care clearly and timely in the patient chart to ensure continuity
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and support staff to promote recovery
• Support resident safety and dignity while encouraging independence and function

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure required or eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Vaccination and background check compliance as required by facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program or equivalent vocational nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Comfortable with wound care, ADL assistance, and rehab-focused nursing tasks
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Solid documentation practices and familiarity with electronic charting
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload during busy shift periods
