Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a rehabilitation setting
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely, clear care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
• Monitor patient progress, document changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families on recovery goals, therapy plans, and discharge readiness
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and supporting interdisciplinary communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact RN license if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Prior experience in rehabilitation, med-surg, or related adult nursing care is highly valued
• Strong clinical assessment, time management, and documentation skills
• Ability to work the specified weekend/12-hour day schedule reliably

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with rehab goals and restorative nursing practices
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and care coordination
• Good communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
