Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a rehabilitation setting
- Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized nursing plans
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
- Document care and patient progress clearly and promptly in the EMR
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery goals, and home care
- Respond to urgent situations following facility protocols to maintain safety
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in New Mexico or an active multistate compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty rehab certifications preferred
- Previous RN experience; travel nursing and rehabilitation experience a plus
- Comfortable working night shifts and the scheduled weekend mix
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Medication administration and IV therapy management
- Rehabilitation nursing principles and safe mobility practices
- Electronic medical records (EMR) proficiency
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Time management, prioritization, and critical thinking
