Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to assigned patients, focusing on safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, escalating changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions thoroughly in the electronic record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — ready to practice or able to obtain New Mexico licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum previous LPN clinical experience preferred (travel experience a plus)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Willingness to work the listed Thu–Sat schedule and adapt to facility policies

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in medication administration and documentation
• Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Experience with wound care, IV support (per facility scope), and routine nursing procedures
• Familiarity with infection control standards and patient safety protocols
• Comfortable using electronic health records and completing timely charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
