Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to residents, promoting dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
- Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
- Support safe and comfortable mealtimes, including feeding assistance when needed
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care and contribute to positive resident outcomes
- Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and colleagues
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification required
- T-CNA certification or class listed (T-CNA) indicated as relevant for this role
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
- Familiarity with resident safety, infection control, and documentation practices
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
- Good observational skills and ability to communicate changes to the nursing team
- Customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and families
