Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to post-acute and rehabilitation patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to care plans
- Perform timely patient assessments and document changes in condition in the EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery goals
- Support patients with activities of daily living and promote independence
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid for practice in New Mexico
- Travel LPN experience or willingness to work as a travel clinician
- Ability to arrive 4-5 days before shift start date to obtain required clearance letter and complete onboarding
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated reliability working night shifts in a clinical setting
Education
- Graduation from an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Comfortable performing patient assessments and following care plans
- Skilled at wound care and basic restorative/rehab nursing tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
