Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with facility policies
• Administer medications, document treatments, and monitor patient responses with accuracy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create and follow individualized care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility standards
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
• Support a safe environment by following infection control practices and safety protocols
• Mentor and guide support staff when appropriate, fostering a team-focused culture

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license (RN) or eligible for RN licensure in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred as applicable
• Experience in med-surg, long-term care, or acute care preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour day shifts and adapt to assignment-specific workflows

Education

• LPN: High school diploma and accredited LPN program completion
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for RN role

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV/line care knowledge
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a 12-hour shift environment
• Basic wound care and restorative nursing knowledge
• Collaborative teamwork and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
