Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care using assessment and critical thinking
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and improve outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Support unit workflow during high-volume periods and help maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina)
• Experience working 12-hour shifts in an acute care setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable to unit
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN accepted)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with charting and electronic health record systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working independently and as part of a collaborative team
