Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Perform vital signs, basic clinical observations and timely documentation
- Support safe transfers and mobility to promote resident independence
- Assist the care team with feeding, personal hygiene and comfort measures
- Communicate promptly with nurses and family members about resident needs and changes
- Contribute to a positive, respectful environment that prioritizes dignity and person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (VT or transferable as required)
- Valid ID and ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks
- Own transportation required for this assignment
- Willingness to commit to weekend coverage as indicated in order notes
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude with strong patient advocacy skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program and state LNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques
- Basic clinical assessments including vital signs
- Accurate documentation and charting in facility systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents, families and team members
- Time management and ability to prioritize during busy shifts
