Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Casa De Oro Center
• Administer medications accurately and document administration per policy
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and basic clinical procedures as directed
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Maintain thorough and timely charting in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and follow-up care
• Contribute to a safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Current immunizations per facility policy (TDap, MMR, COVID as required)
• Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and collaborating in a long-term care setting
• Previous experience in long-term care or medical-surgical settings is preferred

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing / Vocational Nursing program and LPN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Skilled in performing focused patient assessments and reporting findings
• Proficient with basic wound care and infection control practices
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to learn and use electronic medical records and charting systems
• Time management and prioritization during a busy shift
