Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Administer medications accurately and document according to policy
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow individualized care plans
• Maintain clear, timely charting and support continuity of care during handoffs
• Support infection control practices and ensure a safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligible for New Mexico licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain before start)
• Minimum relevant clinical experience preferred (long-term care experience a plus)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care and infection prevention
• Ability to assess and monitor vital signs and recognize acute changes
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Team collaboration and effective communication with residents and families
