Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents, focused on dignity and safety
• Administer medications accurately and document all resident responses
• Perform focused assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record and ensure regulatory compliance
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe transfers while educating residents and families
• Promote infection prevention practices and maintain a clean, safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Previous practical nursing experience preferred; competency with med administration expected
• Ability to work the assigned schedule: Sundays, Mondays, and Saturdays
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic assessment skills and recognizing changes in condition
• Wound care fundamentals and dressing changes
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear charting
• Infection control, patient safety, and fall prevention strategies
• Time management, prioritization, and effective teamwork
