Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
- Administer medications, treatments, and document accurately in the chart
- Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and report changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to coordinate safe care
- Educate patients and families about procedures and post-discharge care when appropriate
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Support admissions, discharges, and transfers smoothly and professionally
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Comfortable and experienced with overnight nursing responsibilities
- Local candidates only as noted in the order
- Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs independently
- Patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and emergency response
