Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the assigned unit
- Perform thorough assessments and create individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans and discharge instructions
- Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement initiatives on the unit
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty credentials are a plus
- Experience in rehabilitation, med-surg, or acute care preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize and manage time during longer shifts
- Excellent teamwork and patient communication skills
- Understanding of rehabilitation nursing practices is helpful
