Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Monitor residents' conditions, report changes to the RN or provider, and escalate concerns promptly
• Assist with ADLs and support residents' comfort and safety during overnight hours
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic or paper record system
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy, and support services to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in Pennsylvania
• Completion of an accredited LPN or vocational nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
• Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Reliable local availability (local-only assignment) and ability to work nights and every other weekend
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and commitment to resident dignity

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN/vocational nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Knowledge of long-term care and rehabilitation nursing practices
• Comfortable with vital signs, wound observation, and basic treatments
• Good clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize during busy night shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with infection control standards and safety protocols
