Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Perform focused assessments and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Support residents with daily living activities while encouraging independence
- Maintain clear, timely electronic and paper documentation for quality care
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity and safe patient care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain upon hire)
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and meet a 10-week local assignment
- Local candidates only (per order notes)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid fundamentals in medication administration and resident safety
- Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
- Knowledge of infection control and wound care basics
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized during long shifts
- Collaborative problem-solving with nursing and therapy teams
- Compassionate bedside manner and excellent resident rapport
