Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the medical record
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident independence when possible
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow facility policies and procedures
• Contribute to a positive patient and family experience through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (eligible to practice in West Virginia) — T-LPN candidates considered
• BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Demonstrated experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and provide up-to-date immunizations/TB testing
• Comfort working 12-hour shifts and adapting to the fast pace of a travel assignment
• Willingness to wear navy scrubs as required by the facility

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Proven ability to perform resident assessments and report clinical changes
• Familiarity with long-term care protocols, ADLs, and wound care basics
• Good communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
• Reliable time management and prioritization in a busy clinical environment
• Basic EMR/charting experience is a plus
