Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on your unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly in the EHR
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalating clinical situations

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred depending on unit
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred (med-surg, telemetry or similar)
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and ability to work in a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Electronic health record documentation (EHR)
• Infection control and patient safety practices
• Effective communication with patients, families and care teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
