Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely to support quality patient records
- Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
- Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willing to obtain
- Local candidates only (no travel) and available to start within two weeks
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight shifts
- Comfortable with patient lifting/assistance and following care plans
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and resident safety
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and transfers
- Clear, kind communication with residents, families, and team members
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently on night shift
