Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document clinical care and communicate changes in patient condition clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
• Respond effectively to urgent clinical situations and assist in emergency procedures
• Support and mentor nursing assistants and newer staff to maintain standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Current immunizations and any facility-specific health requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessments, care planning, and documentation
• Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Proficient with electronic medical records and clinical charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under pressure
• Culturally respectful care and strong interpersonal skills
