Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and support the facility care team
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Monitor patient status, report changes to supervising RN and contribute to care planning
- Perform routine assessments and assist with ADLs to promote resident comfort and safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, person-centered care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and follow facility policies
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
- Ability to work the assigned day shift hours (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and meet local start timelines
- Comfortable administering medications and following nursing protocols
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Background check and any facility-required health screenings or immunizations completed
Education
- Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent (typical for LPN licensure)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing assessment and bedside care skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic familiarity with electronic charting and clinical documentation
- Infection prevention, safety awareness, and resident rights
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical setting
