Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents of the facility
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely according to orders
- Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Perform skilled nursing tasks such as dressing changes and basic wound care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and safe patient transfers
- Promote a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up needs
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly
- Ability to work scheduled shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (LPN) from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Basic wound care and dressing management
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
- Understanding of infection control and safety standards
