Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the care team
- Document clinical care clearly and timely in the resident record
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to create great outcomes
- Support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing (Maine preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Current immunizations and health screenings per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus
Education
- Completed Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational nursing education
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Familiarity with charting and electronic health record systems
- Ability to assess resident needs and prioritize care
- Good clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
