Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
- Document patient status, treatments, and observations clearly and thoroughly
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to promote recovery
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in Vermont
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable working the 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM shift and available for weekends as needed
- Local-only candidates (must be able to commute to the facility)
- Must have reliable transportation and personal housing arrangements for the assignment
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program and LPN credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and the care team
- Accurate charting and attention to detail in patient documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability to changing patient needs
