Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and deliver evidence-based respiratory care to improve patient outcomes
• Manage ventilators and advanced airway therapies with precision and attention to safety
• Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation to guide treatment decisions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and adjust patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions and response to therapy accurately in the EMR
• Provide patient and family education about respiratory care, equipment and home needs
• Respond quickly and professionally in emergency situations and code events

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in New Hampshire or ability to obtain prior to start
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS or PALS preferred or obtainable
• Comfortable with ventilator management, airway interventions and ABG analysis
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Professional, team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree or higher)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Proficient with arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation
• Strong assessment skills for adult and geriatric respiratory patients
• Experience with airway management, oxygen therapy and aerosolized treatments
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records and following protocols
• Critical thinking, teamwork and patient-centered communication
