Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
- Perform safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention measures
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient status accurately
- Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team about patient needs
- Support infection prevention and follow facility safety protocols
- Document care and observations in the medical record with attention to detail
- Build trusting relationships with patients and their families through respectful care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico preferred or able to obtain)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working night shifts and handling overnight patient needs
- Local candidate only (position is local-only; must reside in or near Albuquerque)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and bedside manner skills
- Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and vital sign monitoring
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
- Reliable documentation and charting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
