Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care as a licensed practical nurse on assigned shifts
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly in the patient record
- Perform focused patient assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with RNs, providers and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
- Follow facility policies, infection control standards and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — must be active and valid in New Mexico
- Local candidates only (this assignment is not for travelers)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach; prior acute care or long-term care experience preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Charting and documentation in electronic medical records
- Infection prevention, safety protocols and wound care basics
- Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate changes in patient condition
