Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an LPN on the assigned unit
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocol
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the interdisciplinary team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to promote recovery and independence
- Collaborate with RN colleagues and support staff to maintain a smooth, high-quality care environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
- Prior LPN experience in an acute or long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to work scheduled long day shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) on assigned weekdays
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid fundamentals in medication administration and infection control
- Proficiency with charting and electronic medical records
- Skilled at patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, and basic wound care
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and following care plans
