Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at every shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Perform patient assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
- Support safe wound care, infection control, and other clinical procedures
- Educate residents and families on care plans and promote patient comfort
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment and mentor support staff when appropriate
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- BLS/CPR certification (current or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in long-term care, post-acute, or similar clinical setting preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment and recognizing changes in condition
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Good infection control practices and wound care fundamentals
- Ability to prioritize tasks during busy night shifts and collaborate with team members
