Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care within scope of LPN practice
• Administer medications and document observations accurately and promptly
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes to the nursing team and providers
• Assist with activities of daily living and support patient comfort and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, professional documentation and adhere to facility policies
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate essential patient information

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (practical nurse) — able to practice in Vermont
• Must be local to Rutland and have reliable personal transportation
• Ability to work night shift hours (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Completion of required RTO and contract prerequisites prior to approval
• Clean background checks and required facility onboarding (as applicable)
• Previous LPN experience preferred but motivated new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) or equivalent
• Active LPN licensure in Vermont

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid basic nursing assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Comfort working independently during night shifts and escalating concerns appropriately
• Strong communication and teamwork with nurses, CNAs, and providers
• Patient safety, infection control, and adherence to facility protocols
• Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
