Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Observe, record, and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Take and document vital signs accurately and timely
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to prevent falls and injuries
• Support mealtime and hygiene needs while encouraging dignity and independence
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Collaborate with team members to deliver person-centered care and improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification valid in New Jersey
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain promptly
• Comfortable with resident lifts and transfers; physical ability to perform caregiving duties
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but passion and willingness to learn are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and possession of current CNA license/certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs and observations
• Good documentation and time management skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with HIPAA and maintaining resident confidentiality
