Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to enhance resident comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition with timely, clear documentation
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning while following facility safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain infection control and cleanliness standards to protect residents and staff
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Travel CNA (T-CNA) certification — required
• Valid state certification or ability to obtain state reciprocity as needed
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and facility onboarding requirements
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of ADLs, resident hygiene, and safe transfer techniques
• Practical skills in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Infection control practices and proper PPE usage
• Basic charting and documentation; ability to learn facility EMR quickly
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
